Visit St Agnes during your Holiday in Cornwall

Spend your camping or caravan holiday at Perran Springs Holiday Park and visit St Agnes. St Agnes was primarily a mining and fishing port, and today has lost none of this charm. The setting for Winston Graham’s ‘Poldark’ novels, the village includes an old row of sea captain’s cottages; Stippy Stappy’, which is loved by visitors. Wheal Coates is just along the coast towards the cove of Chapel Porth. It is one of the most photographed engine houses in Cornwall, dramatically situated on the cliff edge, along from St Agnes Beacon.

St Agnes is also popular for its small beach at Trevaunance Cove and the art and craft galleries within the village, offering the sale of local items. The St Agnes Parish Museum provides an insight into the the history of the village, and just along the road is Presingoll Barns, an outlet selling a range of gifts, confectionery, candles and other items. The Beacon dominates the local skyline and is ideal as a viewing point. The view is impressive, following the coastline from St Ives in the south west right along the north Cornish coast and inland to Carn Brea.
