Visit St Ives during your Holiday in Cornwall
Spend your camping or caravan holiday at Perran Springs Holiday Park and visit St Ives, popular with visitors for it’s narrow cobbled streets, small old cottages and romantic charm. The harbour is home to a small fishing industry, which has declined over the years at the same time as tourism was increasing. St Ives has developed into a centre of art and craft. Many visitors venture to see the new Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth Museum. Earlier visitors include Whistler and Turner and St Ives was the home of Bernard Leach Pottery.
The narrow streets have a selection of shops, art galleries and restaurants. In the summer months the quiet village transforms into a popular holiday resort, complete with family beaches and very busy roads. Nearby in Hayle is Paradise Park, a place for visitors to get close to animals and birds. An award winning attraction, where conservation and animal welfare is paramount.
