Book your static caravan or eurotent holiday in Cornwall at Perran Springs Holiday Park and
visit Falmouth, one of the world’s deepest natural harbours, and in 1688 was home to the
famous packet ships, which transferred mail around the British Empire. Today the port has a
large series of docks and is extremely popular for sailing and pleasure boating.
Pendennis Castle overlooks the stretch of water Carrick Roads and was built between
1539-64 by King Henry VIII, to protect the entrance to the Fal estuary. The castle has views
along the coastline to the Lizard Peninsula and out over the sea. The town is also home to
the new National Maritime Museum Cornwall.

Pleasure boat trips can be taken along the estuary and creeks to the city of Truro and
across to St Mawes. The town has a selection of shops, chandler's, harbourside pubs and
restaurants. Diving schools and fishing trips are also popular. The Ships and Castles
Leisure Pool is visited by families and nearby are the gardens of Trelissick and the sub-tropical ravine of Trebah.
