Permits and/or rods are not transferable under any circumstances. Permits must be purchased from Reception prior to fishing.
If any person is found to be fishing without the correct permit(s), the relevant permit fee(s) will
be doubled - no fishing on your day of departure.

Perran Springs Fishing and Lake Meadow Conditions

The fishing lakes are for use of Perran Springs’ residents only. If you are an all man/woman party or mixed fishing-group all members of your party must be anglers and each must purchase a Perran Springs fishing permit. Anglers fish entirely at their own risk.
Fishing is not allowed without a permit. Before fishing, all the fishing member(s) of the unit, must visit the Reception to purchase the fishing permit(s). A permit is required per person, one rod only. Permits and/or rods are not transferable under any circumstances. The permit must be carried with you during each fishing session. If any person is found fishing without the correct permit(s), the relevant permit fee(s) will be doubled, and will be payable immediately in cash.
Fishing is strictly only allowed between 8am and 10pm daily. No fishing on your day of departure. For safety, the Lake Meadow must not be entered or used between 10pm and 8am.
Fishing is permitted on the three fishing lakes, at marked swims only. Do not fish between swims. Please fish in front of you. No reserving of swims is allowed. No bivvy’s, tents, cooking, radios, bicycles or vehicles are allowed in the Lake Meadow at any time. No fly fishing under any circumstances. Do not interfere with the nature pond. No fishing or pond dipping is allowed.
Do... ...use a professional knotless landing net, a professional padded recognised unhooking mat and disgorger, they are all compulsory. Use a maximum of one rod only per angler, per permit. ...always use barbless hooks and a maximum of 22lb line only.
...strictly use only a maximum of 400g of boilies between all three lakes per day.
...dip your landing net and unhooking mat before each fishing session, this is vital to avoid parasites and spread of disease and use correct, recognised, professional tackle.
...return all fish quickly, carefully and gently to the water, exactly where captured.
...remove all discarded tackle, bottles, bait and other waste, place in the bin provided.
...respect the varied wildlife on and around the lakes and keep to the lake footpaths and fishing swim areas only.
Remember to use the toilets in the shower block when nature calls.
Don’t... ...use a keepnet, barbed, or micro-barbed hooks at any time.
...use fixed leads, double-strength line, bent hooks or inpointing hooks.
...use the beachcaster method.
...use worms, jokers, nuts, pulses, peas, beans or large PVA bags. No live baiting, dead baiting, plugs or spinners.
...remove any fish under any circumstances, or use crab lines or children’s nets, paddle or swim in the lakes or nature pond.
...damage the bank, or interfere with flora and fauna around the lakes or nature pond.
...make any noise in the lake meadow, it is for quiet fishing, sitting and walking only and is not a play area or place for parties.
By law, anyone fishing, aged 12 years or over, must have an Environment Agency Rod Licence. These lakes are
checked by Environment Agency Officers. If you are caught fishing without a valid EA Rod Licence you could be fined up to £2,500. They are available from The Post Office.
Parents are responsible for the safety of their children at all times. Children must be accompanied by a competent adult at all times, either when fishing, or being anywhere in the lake meadow.
Any damage to fish, flora or fauna, littering of the lake meadow, or the use of the meadow or lakes as a toilet, will result in all members of your party being asked to leave the park immediately. Any damage will be charged for separately and will be paid for by the offending person(s) immediately in cash.
