Our aim is to protect the environment in which we live and to encourage the wildlife which exists and is attracted to our local area. As a holiday park, we are committed to minimising the impact we make on our natural environment. This has been recognised in becoming winners of the
David Bellamy Conservation Award at the Silver level.
We actively encourage wildlife to flourish and leave areas throughout the park and some hedgerows to nature. We also manage areas around the lake meadow to promote biodiversity of animal and plantlife, by planting native species where of benefit and carefully maintaining ‘wild’ areas.
We use water and energy wisely in our facilities, with the introduction of push-button taps, heating water on demand only and motion or light detected lighting where feasible. We aim to reduce energy consumption by using energy efficient products where possible, and raising awareness amongst our guests.
We encourage our guests to join us, to reduce, re-use and take advantage of our recycling area whenever possible.
We use recycled materials and vegetable inks where practical for our printed brochure, prices booklet and park information sheet. We use electronic forms of communication where appropriate.
We source local suppliers and service providers for many items in our park shop, our cleaning supplies and the maintenance and service checks required for our park facilities.
We offer leaflets regarding local public transport and cycle hire companies, and allow relaxed bicycle riding on the main area of the park, with cycle racks around the amenity block.
Where possible we will continually improve our environmental performance, and aim for a greener future… naturally!
